Prof Martin F Hohmann-Marriott – Founder

Together with his brothers, Martin built electronics and programmed 8-bit computers  at their parents home before heading to university. Martin completed a Master’s degree in Biology at the Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg (Germany) before moving to the USA for PhD studies at Arizona State University. Martin held Postdoctoral positions at the National Institutes of Health (USA),  Hokkaido University (Japan) and University of Otago (New Zealand). In 2012, he followed a call to the Norwegian University of Science and Technology where he is Professor of Microbial Biotechnology. Martin is also an affiliate of the Centre for Sustainability at University of Otago in Dunedin, where he and his family live.

Dr Christian D Hohmann – Dentist & Dental Technologist

Before his study of dentistry, Christian became a certified and award-winning dental technologist. During his doctoral studies Christian researched the use of composite materials in dentistry. Following his approbation, Christian became a Research Fellow at the University of Ulm Dental  Clinic, before joining  a private dental clinic.

Michael J Hohmann – Electronic Engineer

Michael has a distinguished engineering career, including work at the  University of Chicago where he completed an external Master thesis for which he was awarded the prestigious VDE Friedrich Dessauer prize. Michael expertise  includes embedded solutions for the automotive industry. In this area,  Michael recently lead a software development team in Xiamen (China), before becoming the Head of IoT for a major automotive  company in Germany. Michael is also a Scrum Master.

Daniel M Hohmann – Industrial Engineer

Daniel is an experienced production and process planner in the automotive industry. Daniel has also FDI certification as safety engineering advisor.
